On Friday the students visited A Rustic Garden. Owner Susan Ingram gave the students a tour of all the shop. She explained how this unique business developed into what it is today.

Susan also shared her personal journey. She told the students that she got lucky but it was easy to see from her story that it was her hard work, ingenuity and eye for opportunity helped build the successful and long standing business. She reminded the students of the opportunities they have through CEO and to take advantage of them.

Susan empathized that her most important piece of advice would be to surround yourself with supportive people and walk away from those that aren’t.
